THE 2ND ANNUAL NATIONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL: AMPLIFYING UGANDA’S YOUTH VOICES HELD

Launched in July 2011 by Open Space Centre, The National Youth Festival is a unique annual gala which brings together thousands of young people from the education sector, special interest groups, civil society and the population at large to amplify youth voices, vision and visibility in public policy for delivery in developmental processes. The National Youth Festival has centralized youth employment in this year’s efforts to mobilize the socio-economic and political consciousness of an entire generation. This focus should help mitigate the challenges, unveil opportunities and muster delivery for youth and youth focused stakeholders. The 2nd Annual National Youth Festival 2012 will be commemorative and celebratory as it marks Uganda’s 50th Independence birthday. Courtesy of this we have included various customized packages and activities particularly the Youth Employment Forum and Pact which we believe captures the spirit and promise of the youth today. Furthermore this year’s event interlinks at programmatic level with several policy instruments such as the National Youth Policy, National Development Plan, International Youth day and African Youth Day amongst others. As a standard design, this year’s event has also factored in other commemorative events by the youth which will feed into its main activity and roll out plan. Goal To amplify youth voices, visions and visibility in public policy for delivery in developmental processes. Specific Objectives

1. To raise awareness and understanding of critical developmental policy concerns of the youth

2. To create space for youth and youth-focused stakeholders to innovatively network, collaborate and exchange ideas as a means for influencing public policy and developmental delivery in Uganda

  1. This is a comment to the admin. Your website:https://kaviriali.wordpress.com/2012/08/27/the-2nd-annual-national-youth-festival-amplifying-ugandas-youth-voices-held/ is missing out on at least 300 visitors per day. I discovered this page via Google but it was hard to find as you were not on the front page of search results. I have found a website which offers to dramatically increase your traffic to your website: http://voxseo.com/traffic/. I managed to get over 10,000 visitors per month using their services, you could also get lot more targeted visitors than you have now. Hope this helps 🙂 Take care.
